University Business School (OUBS) employs tutors at regional offices throughout the United Kingdom. Two years ago, the School first identified a problem with information flow throughout the staff base. Information was stored in different silos throughout the School, and staff wanting to pull information from the system had a disjointed and frustrating experience. This situation, coupled with concerns over compliance with the U.K.s Freedom of Information Act, prompted the OUBS to conduct a record management project to review how information was handled, filed, and archived. Upon completion of the project, it was decided that OUBS should overhaul its information management processes. Compuware was chosen to manage the project.

Cebit: Desktop Linux demand on the upswing, Sun says
Sun trumpeted its latest desktop Linux milestone Thursday, declaring that German OEM Markement had sold over one million units of its StarOffice productivity suite.
